Licensed Therapist
Associate Therapist

Job Description

Atlas Counseling is a supportive Seattle-based counseling practice focused on promoting child, adolescent, and family wellness. We are currently seeking 1-2 child & adolescent therapists to join our team.

This is a W2 employee position that pays per client hour, and your pay rate for each session is dependent on your training, experience, and licensure level. You can decide what hours you work based on office availability, and hours must include before/after school and some late evenings.

This is a great opportunity for a therapist who wants to work with children and youth age 4-24 and their families and work in in a private practice without the pressure of running their own business. This position is hybrid in person/telehealth.

As a practice, we deeply value our work as a supportive training site for emerging child & adolescent therapists, and our team members have often described our workplace as “a soft place to land.”

We believe that inequitable systems of power and privilege in the field of therapy provide fewer opportunities for professionals from marginalized communities to transition into private or group practice settings. For this reason, we especially encourage BIPOC, LGBTQ, immigrant, or PWD therapists to apply.

What We Require

  • Master’s degree in a behavioral science
  • At time of hire, Washington State associate licensure as a masters-level mental health provider (LMFTA, LMHCA, LSWAIC) or Washington State independent licensure as a masters-level mental health provider (LMFT, LMHC, LICSW)
  • 1 year of recent, continuous experience as a child/adolescent therapist
  • Basic training in play therapy or willingness to begin on-the-job play therapy training
  • Evening availability
  • Ability to schedule an average of 15-18, 20-24, or 25-30 clients weekly

What We Prefer

  • 2 years of recent, continuous experience as a child and adolescent therapist
  • Actively working toward credentialing as a Registered Play Therapist

What We Offer

  • Client referrals
  • Competitive hourly in-session rate
  • MHC, MFT, and play therapy supervision
  • Paid sick, vacation, and holiday time
  • Health, vision, dental, and life insurance benefits
  • 401k with employer matching
  • In-house administrative support
  • Individual and group consultation
  • Paid meetings and trainings
  • Flexible caseload and scheduling
  • Yearly training stipend
  • Supportive team environment
  • Fully stocked therapy offices and playrooms
